Location: TX-All   Central Texas Area
Southwest (AZ, AR, NM, OK & TX)
Salary Range: 80,000 - 150,000
Total Compensation: 80,000 - 200,000
Job Description: Leading entrepreneurial CPA firms in Central Texas seeks individual to join firm and focus on the oversight and management of the Estate & Gift Tax planning segment of their business. Responsibilities will include training & developing staff members, cultivating & developing client relationships, tax return review and preparation, consulting with clients regarding tax matters and tax planning. Specifically you will… · Review estate fiduciary income tax returns along with the decedent’s final individual income tax return. · Review trust fiduciary income tax returns and individual income tax returns assigned. · Analyze estate planning documents including wills, codicils and trust instruments to determine the proper treatment of assets and liabilities for tax purposes. · Review accounting transactions, disbursements and receipts to principal and income accounts to ensure proper treatment for judicial accountings. · Develop post mortem tax-saving strategies for the estate accounts. · Review and research any tax situation that could affect the management of their accounts. · Engage in special projects related to client matters involving tax accounting and consulting. · Assist clients with other accounting related matters. · Keep abreast of tax changes and issues that could affect our clients. Primary qualifications required… · Bachelors degree in accounting required, Master preferred · CPA required · 7+ years experience in the preparation and review of fiduciary income tax returns · Knowledge of the preparation of trusts, estate, gift tax returns and trust accounting · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · High energy and self sufficient · A dedication to teamwork and leadership · Ability to work in a team environment
Education and Certifications/Licenses: Bachelor's, Certified Public Accountant, None
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: CPA, Degree in Accounting. preparation and review of fiduciary income tax returns and knowledge of trusts, gift tax, estate and trust accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications: Master degree
