| Job Description: |
Privately held Northern New Jersey company with approx $ 60 m in revenue is looking for a Controller to provide leadership and coordination of company’s GAAP accounting, financial planning, debt financing, and budget management functions. Responsibilities: • Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions. • Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments. • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget. • Direct and coordinate debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies. • Oversee daily operations of the accounting department (accounting, accounts payable, billing, credit & collections) . • Manage the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses. • Manage the monthly close process • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts. • Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements. • Work with department managers and corporate staff to develop five year and ten year business plans for the company. • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures. • Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives. • Serve as primary legislative liaison relative to company financial issues. • Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements. • Other duties and/or projects as assigned. |

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
Qualifications: • Five to ten years of progressive experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position. • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles including GAAP. • Excellent computer (excel) skills . Great Plains a + • Should know acquisition accounting (ideally someone out of a PE owned firm) • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. • CPA certification or MBA with strong accounting experience required. • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. • Must be hands on and willing to roll up sleeves • Willingness to work a flexible schedule. • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
