| Job Description: |
Summary: Responsible for overseeing all government loan programs to include SBA, USDA, FSA, EDCs, Linked Deposit and NYSERDA, requiring a comprehensive knowledge of the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for each agency. Responsible also for serving as the primary contact in the bank for all SBA loans from application to closing and ongoing administration and liquidation. Provides guidance to the lenders for all government loan programs. Facilitates an expanded participation in the government loan programs together with a fully compliant loan, meeting all of the requirements of the respective government agency. Responsible for facilitating training of bank personnel and acting as the primary contact for all audits and loan reviews. Responsibilities: • Resident expert in all government lending programs. Full understanding of each SOP. Address all questions concerning government guaranty programs from the lending staff. Train bank lending and support staff and serve as the point of contact for all government lending program audits and loan reviews. Coordinate the required reporting for all guaranty programs and liquidation to insure full compliance and accuracy • Receive all credit approvals which are subject to an SBA guaranty and supply RM / bank lending staff with appropriate application package to include eligibility. Process the application subject to full review, coordinate the disbursements, prepare loan write-ups and remit required fees. Collect and monitor the receipt of all receipts, invoices or any other required documentation. • Coordinate all requests for modification to insure full compliance and approve all requests for liquidation. All correspondence to the government agencies to be reviewed and approved by this position. Quality and service standards to be set and monitored. |

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
• Bachelor Degree in finance or accounting. • 10 years or equivalent commercial lending or small business lending experience either direct or indirect lending. • Audit or loan review background in the area of lending preferred. • A full understanding of commercial and small business lending from an approval perspective. • Familiarity with each government loan program and related operating procedures. • Strong organizational skills. • Strong communication, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently with limited supervision. • Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products. |
