10709 Financial Reporting Manager Job

Salary Range: 85,000 - 115,000
Total Compensation: 90,000 - 130,000
Job Description: Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for the day to day activities of the Bank’s financial information reporting, and external reports, personally or through subordinate supervisors. This position reports directly to the CFO. Essential Functions: 1. Prepare: A. Reports which summarize internal consolidated financial reports and profitability of business segments. B. Written reports to management and Board of Directors providing analysis and insight into financial position. C. External financial reports required by regulatory agencies including SEC reports (Form 10-Q’s and Form 10-K) and Call Report. D. Monthly tax provision and quarterly deferred tax adjustments. 2. Manage Accounting Department and Accounts Payable staff. 3. Oversee fixed asset accounting and direct determination of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets. 4. Advise management on desirable operational adjustments due to tax code revisions. 5. Coordinate with outside auditors to arrange for audits of company’s accounts. 6. Coordinate the month-end and year-end closing process. 7. Review company financial statements for accuracy and clarity and develop new reporting formats for internal use. 8. Advise management about insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities. 9. Assist in preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budget. 10. Other duties and projects as assigned.
Education and Certifications/Licenses: None, None, None
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: 1. 7+ years experience in all aspects of bank accounting including knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Financial Accounting Standard Board pronouncements. 2. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration. 3. Leadership skills and proven supervisory experience. 4. Strong written and oral communication skills. 4. Proficient knowledge of Excel and Word. 5. Problem solving and analytical skills. 6. A stable employment record without a history of “job hopping”.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Previous bank experience or extensive experience as public accountant or consultant working with financial services clients 2. CPA
