| Job Description: |
Develop, evaluate, and validate custom commercial and consumer credit scoring, collections and PD/LGD models for specified loan and lease products, based on archival data available from major North American credit bureaus, and transaction performance data. Modeling work will include identification and transformation of candidate predictor variables, scoring model developments, performance validations, and univariate attribute analysis. Develop and validate loss forecasting models for specified US loan and lease portfolios using internal performance and external economic data. Statistical analysis of customer credit and payment data for credit & behavior scoring model developments, liquidation and loss rate forecasting, and risk rating assignments. Design, evaluation and optimization of credit, credit line management, and collections automation strategies to enhance business unit productivity and profitability. Testing and validation of credit & collections systems implementations. Loss forecasting and banding recommendations to optimize risk-based pricing strategies for new and existing programs. Documentation and review of analytical results and recommendations with senior business unit |

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
PhD or Masters degree in statistics, with demonstrated skills in predictive modeling methods, including linear and logistic regression, survival analysis, and classification and regression trees. 3-5 years experience in consumer or commercial credit and collections scoring model developments and implementations, including processing and analysis of archival credit bureau data files. Ability to grasp business objectives and constraints quickly, and formulate appropriate modeling approaches. Ability to work effectively either independently or as a member of a project team. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficient in SAS programming. |

Desirable: Familiarity with both Windows and Unix operating environments. Experience with text-based data mining and associated predictive modeling tools |
