Our Client is a top 25 CPA firm with offices in the Northeast. No relo provided, only consider local candidates. Client prefers candidates out of medium to large public accounting firm or consulting firm. Position is based in Bridgewater, NJ. Required: CPA & current consulting experience in a business valuation practice which includes valuations of privately held businesses, coordinating buy/sell agreements, providing litigation support, and assisting with reorganization plans and reporting. Requirements • 8-15 years business valuation experience • Valuation experience for both FAS 141(purchase price allocation) and FAS142 (goodwill impairment studies), Fair value, and 123R experience • Solid understanding of prevailing issues related to valuations and the positions of the various governing bodies such as SEC, IRS, USPAP, AICPA, ASA, court cases, etc. • Business valuation certification required • Demonstrated business development/sales experience - building and managing a book of business • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage client and staff relationships and project work • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, peers and other professional contacts • Strong analytical skills • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) • Excellent working knowledge of Excel to develop financial models • Excellent working knowledge of Word to create and edit documents • Strong PowerPoint skills • Superior problem solving ability • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field |
