| Job Description: |
The position has oversight responsibility for the investment accounting and operations functions of the Corporate Treasury Department. The incumbent will have direct supervisory responsibility for employees engaged in investment accounting, securities settlement and wholesale funding. The Assistant Manager will also serve in an advisory capacity with respect interest rate risk measurement and management, funds transfer pricing, business unit profitability, activity based costing, securities portfolio management, policy development and liquidity management. The assistant manager will assist the department manager with special projects assigned by the CFO. These projects include the analysis of complex financial transactions such as investments in federal tax credits related to multifamily housing projects, bank-owned life insurance, participation in a multi-bank CD clearing |

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
* College degree in Finance or Accounting * Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred * At least five years (preferably 7-10 years) U.S. Commercial Banking experience with areas of expertise including: Fixed income securities analysis and management, wholesale funding through multiple sources, retail liability pricing, loan pricing, IRR modeling (BancWare preferred), derivative products and their application. * Familiarity with ALM software (BancWare preferred). * Basic knowledge of fixed income and equity investments. * General understanding of credit analysis. * Knowledge of mathematics, database analysis and financial report preparation. * Knowledge of financial ratios, accounting and business principles. * Basic knowledge of bank products and services. * Proficient operation of Microsoft Professional Office software including Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to perform intermediate level Excel applications. * Ability to understand tax advantages of a variety of investment products. * Ability to negotiate contract changes on small vendor contracts. * Excellent analytical and report writing skills. * Excellent written / verbal communication and presentation skills. * Must be able to establish and maintain a high level of credibility with all levels of internal management and external business contacts. |
