A company committed to the communities it serves, one that rewards performance and provides employees with opportunities to direct their own career paths.   Job Description Fannie Mae Underwriter: Join a highly profitable division of the bank with a long track record of healthy contribution to the bottom line. You will be dealing with sophisticated multi-family real estate projects and assisted living facilities from $2,500,000 to $75,000,000. Underwriting Fannie Mae transactions in accordance with DUS parameters. No sales required, they have an experience group of originators who keep the pipeline full. Through the past two decades this has been a consistently growing area for the bank and always considered a delightful place to work. Underwriter performs inspections and has indirect management responsibility of loan processors assigned to the transaction. This position services a national market, offers you a secure position with excellent career growth potential. This is a highly professional group that works cohesively and has very little turnover. Openings are created from business growth not resignations or acquisitions. Compensation is competitive salary plus excellent benefits including 401k with company match, company funded retirement plan and stock purchase plan. Primary Responsibilities · Underwrite Fannie Mae transactions in accordance with DUS parameters. · Perform underwriting and property inspections as needed. · Supervise loan processor assigned to transaction. · Responsible for accurate loan sizing and overall risk assessment and appraisal review. · Preparation and tracking of all product waivers. · Completion of underwriting narrative/committee package. · Review of commitment letter and hand off to loan closing department.
Education and Certifications/Licenses: Bachelor's, None, None
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: Job Qualifications · Knowledge of Excel spreadsheet program. · Experience underwriting large apartment and/or assisted living facilities. · Strong interpersonal skills. · Good verbal and written communication skills. · Income property underwriting experience. · Fannie Mae DUS multifamily underwriting experience. · Seniors housing underwriting experience/training. · Completion of Fannie Mae multifamily inspection training. · National market knowledge. · Multifamily appraisal experience.
