10924 Credit Risk Specialist Job

Location: NC-Chapel Hill   na
Southeast (AL, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC & TN)
Salary Range: 70,000 - 80,000
Total Compensation: 70,000 - 80,000
Job Description: Primary Duties: • Continuously work with lenders in designated Region(s) to provide guidance in lending activities by offering assistance on credit matters. Assist lenders with completing Annual Reviews and credit memos on large and complex credits. • Make credit decisions on smaller, less complicated credits and assist Senior Credit Risk Manager with decisioning on larger, more complex credits • Assist loan officers with the administration of the lending function, including collecting requisite information for credit decisioning, adherence to laws and regulations, prompt risk identification and mitigation, compliance with committee approval requirements, documentation quality, credit file quality, and accurate and correct application of loan grades. • Follow up with lenders to ensure compliance with loan approval conditions. • Assist lenders in preparation of Classified Asset Reports, Asset Classification forms and impairment analyses. • Go on joint calls with lenders from time to time. Assist with or conduct construction inspections as needed (training provided). • Assist in preparing loan presentations for Management Loan Committee. Occasionally present and recommend loans to the committee that have been properly reviewed for approval or disapproval. • Work with Credit Analysts to enhance output of analysis provided from Credit Administration Department, to include guidance, training, coordination with lenders, etc. to insure accuracy and efficiency of analytical output. Secondary Duties: • Assist in monitoring collateral exceptions, maturities, delinquencies, pipeline and assist in overall portfolio management for Region(s) under management. • Assist with loan officer and credit analyst training • Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
Education and Certifications/Licenses: Bachelor's, None, None
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: Position Requirements: Experience: Five years experience as a commercial credit administrator to include credit analysis, credit review and/or credit underwriting. An additional two or more years of experience as a commercial loan officer preferred. Academic: Undergraduate degree with concentration in finance or accounting.
