VP, (Non-Fiancial) Internal Audit and Qualtiy Assurance. St. Louis Metro Area We currently need someone to manage a small Internal Audit (non-financial audit) and QA department. Department oversees the regulatory aspects of the audit function, both financial and non-financial, to FDIC standards. Position manages two people including the Compliance Officer and one other staffer. Initially charged with designing/developing a QA program, assisting in developing/coordinating a control matrix and collecting risk migration data. Position requires awareness of current regulatory issues like BSA, FDICIA. This manager will work with the external audit firm to coordinate all non-financial audit functions. He/she will be responsible for facilitating compliance policies and regulatory issues to personnel bank wide. VP will have full budgetary responsibility for the department. We are looking for a generalist in banking with management experience. Acceptable experience may include retail, branch administration or operations. Prior compliance awareness important, but direct 'audit' experience not necessary. Very detail oriented, but not an accountant or a commercial lender. Candidate must have strong communications skills to facilitate corporate and regulatory policy, gaining employee ‘buy-in’ of the changes without alienating the employees or managers of the various divisions of the bank.
