| Job Description: |
Growing Columbia, SC area banking client seeks to add a new member to their Accounting team. This position is located within a professional and dynamic environment that provides consistent exposure to key members of the management team. Responsibilities: Prepare financial reports and schedules for management and regulatory reporting purposes Prepare journal entries with proper documentation, reconcile, analyze and certify various General Ledger Accounts within deadlines Identify, research, investigate, and problem-solve GL account and/or internal control issues. Under some circumstances, contact other departments to resolve outstanding issues Support the accounting team in meeting month end closing deadlines. Assist with preparation of FDIC reports Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 3-5 years accounting experience in the Banking industry Masters Degree strongly preferred CPA or similar certification a definite plus Specific loan accounting experience including knowledge of purchase accounting, deferred fees/costs, non-accruals, charge offs, etc. Must have a take-charge attitude and thrive in a fast-paced environment Excellent organization skills are a must |
