| Job Description: |
A family owned trucking company has an immediate need for a Controller who possesses a minimum of 3 years experience in the Transportation Industry and a 4 year degree. The ideal candidate will flourish in a fast paced environment and have the sense of urgency required for this growing business. This position will be accountable for the ongoing analysis of costing projects and margin analysis to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management and will serve as the Liaison between financial institutions and owners. Preparing accurate financial reports, budgets, cost reports and financial forecasts on a regular basis Insuring that the books of accounts are compiled monthly, quarterly and year end. Report on breakeven points by customer and lanes and region of travel. Report on periodic variances and their causes Working with owner and operations manager in determining the level of profitability of the company. Update bill of material standard costs and prepare monthly reviews of standard costs. Analyze capital budgeting requests Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles |
