Job Description: This position is responsible for the timely purchase of quality materials to the Engineering print within the specified parameters. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth new product introductions through early involvement between Engineering and supplier base will be a priority. Responsibilities: Responsible for constant cost reductions due to negotiations, supplier learning curve improvements, JIT, technology and the introduction of new material or procedures Interact with internal customers in Engineering, Production Control, Marketing, Manufacturing, Company Management and external customers such as suppliers, etc. Handle telephone calls properly referring potential suppliers to provide information on their company for Company files and future benchmarking Manage daily operations, i.e.: issue purchase orders, resolve discrepant invoices, administer mail management, file and resolve issues presented by internal and external customers Purchase MRO items as required, including fluids and office supplies Reports to Purchasing Manager |

Minimum Qualifications BS Degree Five years of experience within a manufacturing environment |
| Preferred Qualifications: |
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or related field Seven years of purchasing experience in a related industry Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies Knowledge of SAP, SPC, JIT, KANBAN and MRO Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to take direction well and work with minimal supervision Negotiate with suppliers to arrange the best advantage for Company Must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments tests as applicable |
