| Job Description: |
Global decentralized manufacturer and leader of products that are used in energy, environmental, medical, and automation or motion applications. New role reporting to CIO of a $1+B business that is expanding organically and through acquisitions. Company is highly profitable, empowering, and a leader in best practices. Due to a high number of acquisitions and uniqueness of products, markets, and global locations, Client wants to develop a more comprehensive business score card and data provider to strategically and tactically drive the business. As the BI Leader, inherit a virtual team that is global and hire a local team. Lead the streamlining and development of processes, programs, and reports to support business reporting, analysis, and decision-making needs. Key functions will include: • Manage and lead BI team resources; manage strategic partnerships with BI software and consulting partners • Support migration of ERP historical data to BI warehouse as required • Design, develop and deploy complex Business Objects WEBI reports • Create classes, subclasses, objects, conditions, joins, and prompts • Assist in BI architecture design, implementation, and support for optimal report performance • Function as the hands-on report writing and business intelligence reporting expert • Mentor and provide hands-on training of business associates in the use of BI tools and reports • Deploy proper security controls • Responsible for development of BI implementation plans in support of IT strategic direction • Work with CIO to develop BI strategic plan to support business reporting objectives • Manage BI partners including negotiations. • Ensure data environment for reporting includes data from SAP, JDE, and other business critical data sources |

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
BS/BA required. Seek 5+ years of IT experience with 3+ years as project manager or leader of BI and data warehousing applications for global manufacturing and/or distribution businesses. Must have strong Business Objects skills including Crystal Reports, Xcelsius, Web-I, Dashboard Builder, Desktop-I, Web-I SDK, and Explorer. Must be willing to travel globally 25-30%. |
| Preferred Qualifications: |
MBA or CPM ideal. Experience with JDE or SAP is desired. |
