Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst (Only candidates with SAP experience will be considered) JOB SUMMARY: This position will support the Controller in multiple areas to include 1) leading the Accounts Receivable staff within a SAP 6.0 environment (deduction handling, collections, and dispute resolution), 2) expense review prior to payment, 3) G/L account reconciliation, 4) bank account reconciliation, and 5) check and ACH payment processing. Other areas of responsibility would include insurance schedule review and reconciliation, working capital reporting and other duties as required. Job Output/Responsibilities/Key Processes • Coordinate the resolution of discrepancies on customer’s accounts with the customer, sales, and customer service team to resolve all short pays and disputes on a timely basis • Formalize process for deduction handling • Coordinate the payment processes for both checks and ACH payments, interact with electronic banking software • Expense review and GL Account reconciliation of Cash, Prepaid expenses, insurance and related accounts • Prepare and monitor working capital status and analysis • Work with the accounting department on special reports as requested • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned Skills/Attributes Required • Minimum of ten (10) years of Accounting experience in manufacturing sector, to include A/R, A/P, account reconciliation and expense report reviews • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience • Significant SAP 6.0 experience, preferably in manufacturing, in relevant modules • Strong system and analytical skills required. The ability to extract and compile data from multiple systems / sources such as SAP, Cognos cubes, and to analyze data and then make recommendations for action. • Advanced skills in Excel, Access (Vlookups, Pivot Tables) and Cognos – ability to create tables, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities • Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization • Excellent time management and organization skills required. • Accountability, assertiveness, dependability, organizational, responsiveness, and teamwork are essential • Good communication, judgment, listening, analytical and strong problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently • Must be detail oriented Education • B.S. Degree in Accounting or similar • 3 – 5 years manufacturing experience |
