Salary Range: 70,000-100,000 Plus Bonus
Bonus & Incentives: 5-20%
Position Responsibilities: FINANCIAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM OVERVIEW Objective: To develop high potential individuals to become the future leaders of our company by providing long term career support and guidance The purpose of the Financial Leadership Program is to recruit, mentor and develop future leaders of the Company. The program offers a rigorous and challenging opportunity for high-potential candidates to develop a thorough understanding of the property and casualty insurance industry through: Targeted Rotational Assignments Advanced Training & Special Projects Formal Mentoring and Networking Continuous Performance Feedback At all times the focus for development is leadership, and although the program has finance as its foundation, development of business judgment and operational competencies are focused on as intently as is development of financial expertise. We also require performance to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and ethical conduct. Participants in the program are carefully selected and screened for four primary attributes. 1. Interest and technical competency in finance and economic theory and practice 2. Demonstrated record of excellence in their professional or personal life. 3. Commitment to their career – we want those who want to be leaders in business. 4. Most importantly, we look for innate leadership Purpose and Goals Rotational assignments are the cornerstone of the leadership program. Assignment opportunities are evaluated using three basic requirements: -Significance of business value to the organization -Development opportunity for individual -Dedication of managers to the success of the program A member should approach each rotation as an immediate contributor to the success and achievement of objectives in whatever role they are assigned. Structure Rotations are generally 9-12 months in duration, but can and will be handled individually to best match the 3 criteria above. There is no set number of rotations, but most participants should expect 2-3 rotations. As with the length of the rotations, this is a guideline that will be determined separately for each individual based on experience, performance, and business needs. Successful transition from one rotation to another is critical. Business owners should feel no impact from rotational re-assignments. It is up to the managers and members of existing and new rotations to ensure this smooth transition. Examples of Rotations Personal Lines Finance Commercial Lines Finance Field Finance Strategic Planning Claims Finance Management Information Systems Personal and Commercial Operations It should be noted however, that the program rotations are constantly evaluated against criteria above, and it is expected that the number and nature of rotation positions will change over time. However, the number of positions will remain relatively low given the required focus of the programs principles. Examples of Project Assignments include: Developing Agent Profitability tool Claims Operating Model Redesign Merger and Acquisition Analysis Personal Lines State Strategies We seek to identify and attract individuals with positive leadership traits and strong quantitative skills. Candidates are expected to have demonstrated leadership at some point in their personal or professional lives, and expressed a strong desire to further develop these skills. Candidates with an MBA, CPA, CFA or other professional designations are preferred. Work experience of 3 to 5 years is targeted, although specific insurance industry experience is not required.
Education and Certifications/Licenses: Masters, MBA, CPA
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: 2-6 years of experience in a corporate planning environment
