| Position Responsibilities: |
We are seeking a Retirement Plan Consultant for a New York State client that continues to expand and provide excellent career opportunity. This company is among the 30 largest consulting and administration firms in the nation with annual revenue of over $20M and custody of nearly $3B in retirement plan assets. If you enjoy the technical aspects of the business and like working with clients to guide and help them problem solve, this position is for you. We are looking for a person with an ASPPA designation, i.e., QKA, QPA, or who is on the path to earning their designation. The firm places a premium on technical excellence and strongly supports professional education.
Proficiency in various aspects of defined contribution administration with expertise in areas such as ESOP, prevailing wage, 401(k), 403(b) 457 and cross-tested plans would be a plus.
The Plan Consultant will:
• Oversee the workflow for assigned plans.
• Review annual reports, government forms and discrimination testing.
• Maintain proficiency with all regulatory developments and changes and keep clients and staff fully informed about those changes and how they affect them.
• Develop and deliver training to company associates within the consulting, conversion, sales & operations units.
• Assist sales by helping design specialty plans for prospects and works with current clients to assess plan designs and recommend changes as necessary.

| Education and Certifications/Licenses: |
Associates, QPA, QKA a plus |
| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
*Minimum of two year degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience).
*Three - seven years experience.
*Good compliance knowledge. |
| Preferred Qualifications: |
*Successfully passed 3 out of 4 exams required for ASPPA Certification (QKA, QPA).
*Good Customer Service Skills. *Good analytical skills.
*Knowledge of Pension Law.
