Job 7380: Senior Auditor

Location: MA-Boston  
Northeast (CT, ME, MA, NH, RI & VT)
Salary Range: 70,000 - 80,000, plus bonus
Bonus & Incentives: 8% Target Bonus
Position Responsibilities: Plans and schedules audit projects and staffs and coordinates with audit team members to ensure efficient use of resources. Establishes work standards and procedures for the inspection and appraisal of technical and operational controls and records. Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and the efficiency of operations under the general direction of an Audit Officer or Manager. Main Accountabilities: - Supervises audit engagements, ensuring proper coverage and consideration of auditing principles and practice. - Monitors the progress of audit projects and provides appropriate leadership in completing the project according to department objectives. - Prepares and/or reviews internal audit reports of findings and recommendations for delivery to management. Participates in meetings with clients/auditees for the purpose of presenting audit findings and recommendations. - Participates in system development activities on a company wide basis. Leads or participates in fraud investigations as required. - Represents Internal Audit in key company meetings. - Develops key client relationships with senior management, including subsidiary companies. - As requested, handles personnel actions including performance reviews, and the coordination of training and development of staff.
Education and Certifications/Licenses: Bachelors, CPA and/or CIA preferred
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: Strong auditing background with a minimum of 3-5 years of Audit experience. Requires strong communication and facilitation skills, being adept at building client relationships, and working well both in a team and as an individual contributor. Must possess strong leadership and motivational skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience within the financial services industry and professional certification (CPA, CIA) is preferred.
