| Position Responsibilities: |
Leading national law firm with a stellar reputation and a strong supporter of diversity in the workplace is seeking a Senior Estate Tax Accountant. The dual responsibilities of this position are the 1) accurate and timely preparation and filing of estate and gift tax returns for decedents, including the gathering of all necessary information in the most effective and efficient manner possible, and 2) provide postmortem tax planning centered on interesting and challenging tax scenarios. |
| Education and Certifications/Licenses: |
Bachelors, MST preferred |
| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a business-related discipline is required, with a degree in Accounting preferred. An advanced degree in taxation or law is preferred but not required. |
| Preferred Qualifications: |
Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years demonstrated experience with at lease (5) years of direct preparation experience with prep & review of complex estates, some individual and fiduciary tax background, experience with all aspects of estate settlement process, and a background in postmortem tax planning. Three (3) years of supervisory experience would be preferred. Familiarity with computerized tax preparation software systems is required. Lastly, excellent proactive communication skills and an affinity for working closely with affluent clients and trustees. |

Base salary has some elasticity based upon candidate's demonstrated skills and ability to perform at highest level. Seeking an estate & gift tax expert. |
