Job Description
Commercial Credit Officer: This is a career opportunity to work for one of the premiere banks in the country. You will have no sales goals but plenty of customer interaction, provide coaching for the lenders, over seeing the underwriters and playing an active role in the community. This position is ideal for developing management skills to further grow your career in banking. They have a strong market share and excellent branch locations. The bank uses state of the art technology to support the loan process and deliver superior customer service. Their structure enables people to cross train and have flexibility in choosing your career path. You will have hefty loan authority up to $5 million. You have no sales goals but play and important role in the growth and quality of the portfolio. The lenders bring in the deals, the underwriters’ analysis the deals and you make the credit decision. This allows for local market knowledge and responsive service to the customers. You will work in the growing economy of Southern Maryland, snuggled between Washington DC and the Chesapeake Bay. The position requires a thorough understanding of credit, risk analysis and loan structuring. Primary Responsibilities
• Work with lenders and underwriters to structure and approve commercial loans.
• Lending authority up to $5,000,000.
• No sales responsibility but will play an active role in the loan process with lenders and customers.
