| Position Responsibilities: |
· Oversees the business banking sales activities within Brooklyn/Staten Island metro area.
· Manages the market’s RMs and Client Service Professionals with staff of 8-10 RMs
· Responsible for market production and P&L growth
· Team Development (Mentor/Coach/Joint Calling) – 40%-50%
· Partner Interaction – 10%-20%
· Administrative/Budgetary – 20%-30%
· Provides leadership to and coordination of activities of RM sales staff
· Typically does not maintain client portfolio
· Coaches and develops staff members on all aspects of successful business development, relationship management and customer retention strategies
· Monitors staff performance and provides appropriate recognition and feedback
· Promotes teamwork between all staff members and coordinates activities with Strategic partners and branch management
· Monitors adherence to credit quality standards and proper sales practices
· Works with Market or Regional Manager to ensure budgetary control and that profitability goals are met
· Represents bank in civic capacities such as Chamber of Commerce, local non-profit boards
· Responsible for ensuring appropriate coordination with branches at market and customer level

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
Typically 5+ years successful RM or related business lending experience to Lower Middle Market Companies.
Must be currently in a management role and have centers of influence in Brooklyn/Staten Island
· Prior sales management experience preferred
· Experience in participating in various community-related activities
· Expert knowledge of credit and cash management products and services and deposit products and services
· Excellent communication skills, negotiating skills, business credit skills
· Strong organizational time management skills
· Strong problem solving skills
· Strong leadership skills
· Ability to foster team environment
· Able to manage and lead with purpose, deal with ambiguity, orchestrate change; bias for action and sense of urgency
· Ability to understand and manage P&L responsibilities, goals and objectives
· Ability to partner and influence
· Bachelors degree in finance or related field or equivalent work experience
· Completed a comprehensive credit training curriculum / certification
· Completed a comprehensive management training curriculum / certification
