| Position Responsibilities: |
Provide significant contributions to the actuarial risk management function of GAFRI, including both established and developmental financial and risk modeling projects, preparation of reports and spreadsheets, communication of findings, maintenance of actuarial records and databases, and assistance with ad-hoc projects. Also provide assistance in the maintenance and enhancement of actuarial financial projection systems, including TAS and MoSes. Some involvement in support of invested asset analysis and modeling, including BondEdge fixed income analytical system. Managerial responsibilities. |
| Education and Certifications/Licenses: |
Bachelors, ? 4-6 actuarial examinations passed, if on the SOA Track, and usually also requires ASA |
| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
At least 4 years of responsible experience in actuarial fields. Good team skills and managerial capability. Self-directed to succeed in an environment with little routine work, and significant developmental work. Creative thinker to bring a what-if approach to risk management. Committed to an actuarial career, and achievement of professional credentials, preferably FSA. Asset - liability modeling experience; annuities a plus. Modeling experience, including TAS, MoSes or similar systems, as well as BondEdge fixed income analytical system a plus.
