| Position Responsibilities: |
The client is a specialty finance company that provides consumer loan programs that bridge the gap between the cost of higher education and federal student aid.The company is executing on aggressive growth strategies and needs highly skilled, team oriented individuals to join this fast paced, innovative environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and manage underwriting decisions for the portfolio.
* Develop origination and behavioral scoring strategies.
* Develop statistical models for profit and loss projections
* Develop statistical methods for projecting portfolio growth, both within existing schools and in the capture of new schools.
* Define methods for creating new pricing strategies.
* Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in all aspects of the credit cycle, and use analytical methods to research and provide quantitative solutions.
* Manage large scale strategic projects
* Perform complex qualitative and quantitative research on credit portfolios and develop strategic programs to optimize benefits to the company
* Communicate credit policy changes and address resource and implementation concerns to senior management
* Work closely with other team members to integrate credit policy solutions with Risk Management software (ZOOT, Provenir) |
| Education and Certifications/Licenses: |
Masters, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or other quantitative field |
| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
* 5+ years of analytical experience -- Risk Management background preferred.
* Masters in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or other quantitative field.
* STRONG / ADVANCED proficiency in SAS
* Experience developing and implementing credit risk models and portfolio forecasts.
* Proven leadership and quality control skills
* Excellent organization and prioritization skills |
