110,000 - 140,000 + bonus |

35-70% Bonus. Last 2 years has paid 70% plus this year is 70%. |
| Position Responsibilities: |
The Assistant Controller will report directly to the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer and will have full responsibility for the corporate accounting function. This individual will partner with the Chief Accounting Officer in taking the organization to higher standards of performance as the company installs best practices and further chances the existing processes within the company's financial organization.
Lead and manage the accounting functions including:
- General accounting - prepare and review consolidated financial statements
- SEC and other external financial reporitng including Form 10-K and 10-Q reporting along with quarterly earnings releases
- Property accounting including capital projects and oversight of assets
- Assurance with maintaining internal controls and procedures within accounting function primarily related to SOX requirements
- Oversee tax accounting function
- Employee benefits accounting
- Review all new accounting pronouncements including various interpretations from the various regulatory agencies to insure compliance and implementation with the regulations
- Perform regular reviews of the financial departments internal controls, procedures and policies to insure industry best practices are achieved
- Work with external audits on quarterly and annual audits including financial audits and agreed-upon procedures work
- Interact with the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors
Candidate Profile:
- Candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of accounting experience
- Candidates must have public company accounting and financial management experience including SEC reporting, general accounting experience, strong knowledge of accounting regulations and internal control (SOX) experience.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required
- Strong oral and written communication skills and a team effort approach
- Strong organization skills
Education:
An undergraduate degree in accounting is required along with a CPA certificate. Advanced business degree is preferred but not required. |
