| Position Responsibilities: |
Manages the income tax compliance function to minimize the Company’s tax liability consistent with federal, state and local tax laws and regulations in the most efficient and effective manner through the proactive utilization of people, processes and technology. Coordinates with the other Tax groups (Planning, Accounting and Audits) to identify, analyze and implement tax reduction strategies as well as ensure the proper financial statement reporting and successful resolution of tax controversy matters. |
| Education and Certifications/Licenses: |
Bachelors, CPA |
| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and tax accounting standards. Sound knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to analyze and interpret technical laws, regulations, rulings and court decisions and to apply them to business operations. Strong organizational skills. Strong process and technology utilization skills. |
| Preferred Qualifications: |
Two or more years as an intermediate level manager, providing leadership, coaching, guidance, and training and contributing to staff development. Supervised subordinates or contractors whose roles were quite diverse in objectives and content, though confined within a single discipline (e.g., Marketing, Accounting, Construction, Operations, etc.). |
