Position Responsibilities: The Market President position exists to serve as the primary representative of the Client Bank. The Market President II is responsible for the effective management of the Client Bank location having two lines of significant business which include both retail and commercial banking products and services to a defined marketplace while meeting the profitability goals and objectives of Client . The position Market President II is responsible for managing the total product and service penetration of the geographic marketplace and will manage and oversee all sales professionals and assist in the collaborative strategic planning and creation of a sales environment. This position also directs financial policies and practices of the organization to ensure that financial objectives, goals, and institutional growth are met and in accordance with policies of Board of Directors and government regulations. This position will also maintain an active loan portfolio. These duties will be accomplished by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Establishes collaborative environment and implements the strategic direction of a new or existing bank in a designated market that supports the direction of the Bank. Works with staff to develop and establish individual goals and objectives against established goals and standards for improving the competitive position. Provides timely, candid and constructive performance feedback to employees; develops employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance career growth. Develops the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning. Ensures the credit quality of the market’s loan portfolio, adheres to established credit limits and monitors credit performance of the lending staff. Oversees credit administration at the market level, which includes monitoring credit quality, past due credits, non-performing loans, loan servicing, clearing outstanding loan conditions and CREV management. Serves as the lead sales manager and provided formal and informal sales training. Responsible for individual business development as well as leading business development efforts for the market. Responsible for achieving income statement/revenue and balance sheet goals. Identify opportunities in the market for expansion of services (i.e. personnel, new offices, acquisition of fee based agencies etc.) by studying activities of related banking industries. Coordinates communication and reporting activities between divisions, departments, and branch offices to ensure availability of data required for efficient daily operations. Delegates to subordinate officers’ authority for administering activities and operations under their control including but not limited to compliance, branch management, and security. Reviews respective reports and financial statements and monitors financial activities. Develops annual market budget. Analyzes and competitively responds to financial services offered in the business community. Makes decisions in accordance with government laws and regulations. Acts as liaison between Property Management Company and IUB Facilities Department. Actively participates and represents Client in various community, civic and professional organizations.
Education and Certifications/Licenses: Bachelors
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Proven track record in the leadership of a median to large market. Demonstrates the ability to lead through change. Five to ten years commercial lending, small business or middle-market experience. Proven Profit and Loss experience. Minimum of five to ten years managing a team of sales people and solid leadership experience to include; sales and performance coaching, goal setting, and basic managerial processes. Ability to inspire, coach and develop a team of top performers. Recognize and reward employees for accomplishments. Ability to understand complex relationships of the market area’s customers, marketplace, competitors and numbers. Strong organizational skill, able to manage several duties simultaneously. Strong strategic and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing a successful business/strategic plan. Experience in local business network.
