| Position Responsibilities: |
General Summary
To assess, monitor, plan and manage the efficient utilization of cash and financial services in a manner consistent with the objectives of the Company. To conduct, document, and perform risk assessments of proposed financial plans and proposed recommendations of change that have a potential to affect Company’s profitability. To ensure that staff is fully utilized and developed and that strong relationships are maintained with other administration departments and with field personnel in a manner consistent with Company policies and procedures
Essential Job Accountabilities
? Understand, manage, and supervise all aspects of cash flow
? Manage all aspects of In-house investment portfolios
? Prepare or monitor company’s various cash flow forecasts and perform financial modeling
? Evaluate, develop and implement cash management systems to optimize efficiencies
? Understand and manage appropriate accounting procedures and processes
? Manage relationships with financial service providers
? Monitor and manage (dotted-line) the escrow administration
? Evaluate alternative long-term borrowing strategies and make recommendations in accordance with the capital structure guidelines
? Monitor & administer hedging strategies, procedures and alternative risk instruments
? Manage, direct, and develop Cash Management staff
? Maintain strong communication and excellent working relationships with other administration departments and field personnel.
? Recommend, implement and maintain process improvements
? Provide technical and other support for mergers and acquisitions and other projects as needed.
? Support and participate in the Company’s Strategic Plan activities
? Support and participate in the Company’s employee development initiatives
Education
? Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
? CTP designation strongly preferred
? MBA desired
Work Experience
? Knowledge of investment portfolio strategy, banking, and financial instruments
? Extensive experience in preparing cash forecasts and cash flow analyses
? General knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements for investments and other financial instrument
? Experience in the preparation of financial schedules and SEC filings including some disclosures
? Experience in building complex financial models to evaluate various financial plans
? Experience in presenting and preparing proposals to recommend new products/services
? Knowledge of treasury software expertise a plus
? Experience leading, coaching and developing staff
