| Position Responsibilities: |
Premier banking conglomerate seeks a AVP-Snr. Accountant with great upward potential. The primary responsibilities include contract reviews, forecasting, client profitability, account reconciliation, transfer pricing, desktop procedures, MIS/ad-hoc reporting and strengthening various internal control activities.
Specific Responsibilities:
o Prepares and updates various analyses supporting weekly and month-end LOB Forecast data submitted to Finance & LOB. Prepares a monthly reconciliation between Company Management Records and the GL using databases, worksheets and other tools (CMR, Business Objects, etc).
o Works independently with minimal supervision and closely with LOB, Operations, IT, Finance, Tax, Controllers team members and other relevant Business Partners.
o Maintains and updates subsidiary reconciliations of assigned GL accounts. Researches, resolves and clears open items in a timely manner according to company standards. Prepares verifications between subsidiary ledger and GL accounts supporting monthly substantiation and account ownership processes.
o Prepares and posts daily/monthly accrual journal entries to SAP GL in a timely manner, ensuring adequate supporting documentation in compliance with Corporate Policies and GAAP.
o Ability to research and document processes, including identification of risks and mitigating controls within the LOB flowing into the accounting stream and financial statement processes.
o Reviews Client Fee Letters and other contract documents to ensure proper accounting of contribution expenses and/or Fee revenue in compliance with contract, CAP and GAAP.
o Maintains and updates LOB application housing accurate client level profitability data.
o Provides assistance to Controller in oversight of internal control environment to support ongoing Sarbannes-Oxley404 compliance, ensure appropriate risk mitigation, documentation of key controls and support other Regulatory compliance requirements

| Education and Certifications/Licenses: |
Bachelors, CPA a plus |
| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
o Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
o Four to Seven years experience performing accounting duties in a Financial Services or Banking position, including extensive experience with reporting systems and financial databases required.
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
o High degree of attention to detail and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
o Above average communication skills and ability to deal effectively with local business partners and LOB Senior management in HQ and around the globe.
