| Position Responsibilities: |
An excellent growth opportunity in a dynamic business environment. This newly created role is due the overwhelming demand in the Asset Servicing IMS Operations.
The Director of Outsourcing Operations is responsible for directing the daily investment accounting and administrations operations for all outsourced investment managers located in a US based service center. Products include separate accounts, commingled entities (funds/trusts), limited partnerships, hedge funds, alternative investment portfolios and separately managed accounts (wrap). Responsibilities include accounting functions, partnership accounting, reconciliations, fee billing, valuations, regulatory reporting, client statement production, financial statement production, client reporting, trade processing, securities settlement, and data management. This is a sister group to SMA and part of the Institutional Accounting group responsible for Asset Servicing and Vendor Management.
The individual will manage a team of 60+ professional and clerical personnel that support the services provided by the service center. Will also be responsible for interacting effectively in a global and diverse team environment by indirectly managing a staff of 20+ in India. Will provide back office support services to the Investment Managers. An responsible for new client on boarding. Individual will service $100+ Billion in Assets under Administration and manage an operating budget of $10+ Million. Will have VP’s reporting to this person.
Primary responsibilities include staffing, budgeting, resource allocation, strategy planning, operational risk management, service quality, operations management, client management, new business analysis, client implementation, technology implementation, audit coordination, vendor management, and business resumption for the service center. Amount of time allocated to various aspects of the role are as follows: Operations 20%, Client Management 15%, Internal Staff 15%, Technology and Project Management 15%, Sales Support 15% with the remainder of time focused on ORM, Implementation and Vendor Management |

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
Minimum experience, skills, certification and academic background necessary to perform the position:
Bachelors Degree required. Emphasis in Accounting, Economics and/or Finance or equivalent experience.
10+ years of progressive business experience in a financial services company or related industry with 5+ years of management experience.
Industry specific experience such as Mutual Funds Ops Investment Management Ops a plus.
Strong leadership skills in providing work direction, setting goals, devising strategies and motivating others.
Proven organizational ability, project management and analytical skills. Must possess strategic vision skills
.
Ability to manage and operate in a large, complex matrix organization. Ability to navigate effectively through all levels of the organization.
Excellent oral, written, presentation and personal computer skills.
Ability to make decisions in a timely manner. |
