| Position Responsibilities: |
Summary
The Product Management Team Leader provides leadership, supervision, direction
and guidance to a team of Products Managers within Global Solutions Group. Under
the general direction from the Director II, Product Management, the incumbent has
overall responsibility for a family of cash management products. Specific
accountabilities include planning and strategic direction, product profit margin
management, product development and implementation, quality assurance, contract
management, ongoing product support, market visibility, conversion planning and
execution.
Responsibilities
• Manage day -to-day activities of team of Product Managers. Set performance standards, execute tactical initiatives and delegate and assign individual projects. Monitor performance, give on-going feedback and conduct performance appraisals. Hire, train, develop and motivate team members. Mentor and develop the skill sets of team members reporting to them.
• Evaluate and approve product strategies and tactical plans for the assigned product family, monitor execution timelines, ensure consistency with the Global Solutions Group Strategic Plan, develop with Product Managers appropriate funding documents for new products and major enhancements.
• Monitor revenue and expense for family of products, establish product profit margins and direct product pricing strategies. Ensure that Product Managers establish accurate revenue capture processes and understand and appropriately influence the drivers of revenue and expense to meet profitability targets, and participate in negotiation with vendors.
• Direct Product Managers in the research and definition of the product and technological requirements of clients and in the development and testing of new products and enhancements to existing services. Support Product Managers in Project Management tasks, monitor project plans and ensure timelines are met and oversee all product launch activities for the family of products, including the development of marketing collateral, service agreements, product training, client implementation, and internal/external communications.
• Establish and manage with Product Managers Quality Assurance Program for the Cash Management product family to ensure performance to profitability goals and client satisfaction, and oversee establishment of quality indicators with Operations partners or product delivery vendors. Manage vendor relationships.
• Promote a positive image and perception of leadership/expertise for Sovereign through efforts such as speaking engagements at major industry conferences, published articles, and client interfaces. Direct Product Managers in ongoing product support for all business partners, product training, product packaging, promotion, and development of marketing collateral. ???????

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience and 5 to 10 years related business experience in banking, product management & development and/or project management. Advanced degree (MBA) preferred
• In depth knowledge of specific Cash Management products.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Superior analytical, financial and strategic planning skills.
• Ability to understand complex systems and technology processes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent Leadership and people management skills.
