| Position Responsibilities: |
Established SF Law Firm is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to assist with international tax accounting functions. Position reports to and works closely with the Sr. Tax Manager and Finance Managers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop strong, service-based relationships with Accounting, Human Resources, Technology Services, and Administration to coordinate tax filing and reporting, with a focus on proactively promoting client service.
• Prepare individual Schedule K-1s based on expatriates’ tax situations, maintaining current knowledge of each partner’s capital account and how it affects their tax liability.
• Research and resolve tax questions, with limited assistance from service provider, and produce technical memos.
• Assist with creating tax work plan for expatriates, providing in-depth knowledge of hypothetical tax, tax equalization, cash flow and individual foreign taxes, assuring that information is communicated to affected individuals, deductions are made in a timely and efficient manner, and hypothetical calculation taxes are accurate.
• Determine US and foreign taxable allowances and costs, being vigilant for and proactive with ideas that will reduce tax expense for the Firm and its expatriates. Serve as firm tax resource in resolving individual, expatriate, or third country national tax issues.
• Direct tax accounting functions and procedures. Assist with developing practices to secure work quality, communication flow, and consistency of information from multiple sources and in multiple jurisdictions.
• Assist with review and/or audit by outside CPA firm and various taxing authorities.
• Develop and document systems, processes and procedures to track payments made to expatriates as well as assist with budgeting and forecasting of monthly domestic and international cash flow. Decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes; work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

| Education and Certifications/Licenses: |
Bachelors, CPA preferred |
| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• At least five years of related experience
• Advanced analytical and information gathering skills; ability to evaluate and prioritize extensive, detailed data.

| Preferred Qualifications: |
• MBA in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration desirable: CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Law firm or professional services background with international exposure preferred
