| Position Responsibilities: |
• Manages the month-end close, with active involvement in analysis of earnings, yields, and ratios
• Prepares, maintains, analyzes, and reports on internal and external financial records
• Maintains GAAP and SEC compliant accounting systems
• Participates in the preparation of monthly, annual, and other periodic financial statements and reports (e.g. Annual Report, 10K, & 10Q).
• In conjunction with the Controller, develops and implements effective accounting policies and procedures
• Assists in coordinating the annual audit and ensures that accounting records and reports are in compliance with GAAP standards and government regulations. Cooperates with and assists internal and external auditors as required
• Proactively interacts with other departments, including Lending and Deposits, to provide information necessary to assist in their decision-making processes
• Consistently looks for opportunities to enhance productivity throughout the organization
• Performs other duties as assigned, including special projects related to acquisitions

| Education and Certifications/Licenses: |
Bachelors, CPA preferred |
| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
• Accounting or finance degree;
• 5 to 8 years of combined experience in public accounting, banking and/or financial reporting
• Strong general ledger experience
• Basic knowledge of state and federal banking compliance regulations and bank operations
• Thorough knowledge of bank financial processes and GAAP accounting practices, including proper internal controls
• Understanding of governmental regulations and reporting requirements
• Strong team player with a collaborative approach to accomplishing common objectives
• Ability to identify issues and perform independent research
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet tight deadlines
• Solid analytical, mathematical and technical skills
• Strong oral and written communication abilities
• Ability to organize, coordinate and direct projects

| Preferred Qualifications: |
• SEC reporting experience, including Sarbanes Oxley preferred
• Experience with Bank Financial Reporting and Call reporting preferred
• CPA preferred
• Prior supervisory experience a plus
|
