Job 8623: Product Specialist

Location: MI-Grand Rapids  
Upper Midwest (MI, MN, ND, SD & WI)
Salary Range: 40-60K base (flexible depending on experience)

Position Responsibilities: Our client in the Grand Rapids, MI area specializes in delivering the market's leading document and compliance technology solutions to the financial services industry. With products used by financial institutions for more than 25 years, our client is a proven industry authority and has changed how the financial industry measures compliance documentation excellence for Deposit, Consumer and Commercial Lending, Mortgage Lending, Individual Retirement Accounts, and Health Savings Accounts lines of business. In direct response to the market, our client has led the way in developing compliance documentation systems designed exclusively for integration with financial transaction software of third parties, such as loan origination or new account systems. Today, this company works with financial institutions both directly and indirectly through financial software developers and is dedicated to providing the highest quality products in a collaborative environment. The essence of the candidate is a 5 to 10 year consumer lender - primary emphasis on home equity (but not a mortgage lender). Also: Someone with good analytical and communication skills. Technical proficiency including very comfortable with the use of Microsoft Excel is important. They realize they may need to be flexible with the salary range. The person needs strength in the Consumer Lending area and will need to understand how documents and other products (like software) are used. They will need to work closely with banks and communication skills are very important. There will be a lot of training on company products (generally a pretty sizable ramp up time to get comfortable. At the same time they will need to add their product expertise to the process. Company is on a strong growth track. In the past 3 years they have doubled employees (20 - 40) and grown from 3% to 10% market share. There is a lot of personal growth potential. Chemistry is important, they look for a good fit. People comfortable with a relatively high degree of change, able to wear multiple hats, outgoing and self confident with good analytical skills are what they look for. The office environment is business casual, there is minimal travel (probably 2 conferences per year) and they would relocate the right person. Timeframe: Would like to hire someone within the next 90 days.
Education and Certifications/Licenses: Bachelors
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree 5 to 10 year consumer lending experience
Preferred Qualifications: BA Degree 5-10 year consumer lending experience
