| Position Responsibilities: |
As a Special Assets Loan Officer, this individual will analyze assigned accounts in order to identify problems and then recommend and implement cost-effective solutions; review loan documentation for deficiencies and identify remedial action needed, analyze and spread financial statements/tax returns, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and documenting same within the credit files. Responsibilities include formulating and proposing loan structures; monitoring assigned portfolio and maintaining current credit information within files; conducting and documenting borrower and site visits to review operating status and collateral, identifying potential problems/needed repairs and quantifying liquidation/recovery probabilities as well as monitoring status of litigation to effect recovery from non-responsive or bankruptcy protected borrowers. This individual will monitor foreclosure actions where liquidation of collateral is deemed necessary to effect loan reduction/repayment; recommend and prepare approvals for loan downgrades/upgrades, change in interest accrual status and partial or complete charge-offs; participate in periodic portfolio review discussions with bank management and Watch Committee; exercise best efforts to collect charge-off credits. |
| Education and Certifications/Licenses: |

| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, preferably in Business/Finance
• Minimum of 5-8 years banking or finance industry experience
• Experience with the workout of criticized commercial real estate and construction loans
• Knowledge of bank operations and credit functions

Experience with commercial real estate and construction loans, strong credit skills and knows debt collection issues. |
