Director of Internal Audit- US Banking
In order to meet the needs of a growing and complex business, Global Wealth management Audit, has identified the need for a Director to manage initiatives within the U.S. Banks Audit Group. The individual will lead a small team with responsibility for auditing select businesses, such as the US Commercial Bank and Bank & Trust, Federal Savings Bank. This dynamic group has a high impact on a large organization. The individual will also have frequent contact with regulators and will be responsible for managing relationships with internal business and control partners. Against this backdrop, a proven leader is sought with the experience, intellect and sound judgment. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Managing all aspects of audits across the products and services covered by the business, including audit plan presentation, work paper reviews and the handling of ongoing inquiries and periodic investigations.
• Providing up-front control advice and recommendations to business heads as they formulate their business plans and strategies.
• Taking the U.S. Banks Audit Group to a next level of performance and quality -- ensuring innovation, rigor and a reputation for “best on the street” practices.
• Providing dynamic leadership to a direct team of professionals, with a commitment to challenge, excite and develop talent. The position also has additional matrix management responsibilities across the global department.
• Ensuring that policies and procedures are continuously monitored and evaluated.
• Managing external Audit firm relationship, including interface on a number of SAS70s.

| Education and Certifications/Licenses: |
Bachelors, CPA a plus |
| Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: |
Job Requirements:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial services, including significant experience with bank audit functions and prior interaction with the OTS and/or FDIC.
• Must be an extremely competent leader – have gravitas sufficient to manage a significant team of professionals and manage a variety of professional situations.
• Proven ability to communicate concepts and ideas both verbally and via documentation to business partners, and be able to defend their views.
• Strong client management skills. A relationship builder, who can establish trust and credibility across the organization.
• Seek, apply and demonstrate best practices to achieve innovative and creative business solutions.
• Results-Driven. Sets and conveys clear goals and monitors progress; is accessible and supports relevant others; obtains results and adds value to the organization by making timely and sound decisions and influencing others.
