Addressing questions about the integrity of financial reporting has become one of the most significant challenges facing businesses today. This corporate investigations practice guides clients through a variety of financial reporting crises and all the challenges that arise when financial reports are called into question. Speed and accuracy are important considerations in addressing client concerns. This firm approaches investigations with experienced professionals. Our clients expect and we produce independent, comprehensive, and logical assessments to best communicate the substance of our findings to all interested parties, including our clients, regulators, external auditors, and others. We are often called upon to present our findings in both formal and informal SEC, criminal, and other regulatory investigations, as well as in related securities litigation proceedings. Our investigations practice consists of individuals with extensive experience in conducting accounting and other investigations and related consulting services. Our team of professionals includes certified public accountants, certified fraud examiners, computer forensic technology experts, and other experienced investigators. This complement of skill sets combines deep technical accounting knowledge and investigative skills to uncover facts at a rapid pace. We have represented boards of directors, corporations, governments, corporate officers and leading law firms in addressing the threats of financial reporting issues, commercial disputes, and securities and other litigation. In many of these cases, we have provided advice with respect to potential restatements of previously issued financial statements. Our professionals have conducted large-scale internal investigations in some of the most complex corporate accounting matters in history. Our experience includes Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, 10A investigations, 10b-5 securities litigation matters, economic analysis, and expert testimony. We provide investigations services in other types of matters as well, including: • Foreign Corrupt Practices Act violations • Money laundering schemes • Self-dealing • Insurance frauds • Kickback schemes • Related party transactions • Contract compliance |
