| Job Description: |
Main function:
1. Direct the Company’s External and SEC Reporting function, ensuring the highest quality external reports and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Direct the drafting of responses to any SEC Comment Letters received on public filings, and direct the preparation and filing of reports and surveys required by government agencies. Direct the Company’s quarterly process in support of the preparation of the financial press release and analyst call, and drive an effective process with the Company’s Communications function and the Vice President of Investor Relations.
2. Direct the Company’s Technical Accounting Operations function for technical accounting including stock-based compensation expense, purchase price allocation, integration expense accounting, SAB 53 reporting, segment reporting, weighted average share computations, goodwill impairment reviews, and any other technical accounting that becomes “operationalized” in the function. Ensure compliance with GAAP.
3. Through continuing professional education and monitoring of recent and proposed accounting pronouncements, remain current on technical accounting and reporting literature (FASB, AICPA, SEC, EITF, PCAOB, and other regulations) that impact public filings and technical accounting, especially in support areas under the control of the technical accounting operations function.
4. Manage relationship with PWC and SEC attorneys in support of the public filings and on accounting / reporting concepts related to the technical accounting operations areas.
5. Consistently hire, manage, motivate and develop top talent in the organization to drive employee satisfaction, development, and to build appropriate bench strength. Ensure an appropriate level of delegation to direct reports to develop staff, and to remain personally flexible to be responsive to the needs of the Company. Overall, build a high performing” team.
6. As requested by the Assistant Corporate Controller, provide technical accounting support to the Business Development function and / or participate on due diligence teams, analysis of strategic investment contracts / structures, and related accounting ramifications.
7. Ensure that areas of responsibility maintain an appropriate control environment that produces “no surprises”, tightly manages the internal control environment, meets the requirements of the Company’s Internal Control Assessment supporting requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley, ensures “clean” internal and external audit reviews of the areas, and adherence to accounting policies.
8. All other duties as assigned by the Assistant Corporate Controller.

Required experience:
Fifteen+ years of relevant work experience.

Education
Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required.
