Location: PA-Pittsburgh  
Mid-Atlantic (DE, DC, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA & WV)
Salary Range: 150,000 - 150,000
Total Compensation: 175,000 - 175,000
Job Description: Risk management
Education and Certifications/Licenses: Bachelors, None, None
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: Identifies Company risk situations by reviewing reports and contracts, conducting regular meetings with business unit (BU) personnel and site visits, utilizing resources of brokers and insurers to conduct risk investigations and studies and maintains/updates Pyramid database and reports. * Determines most appropriate method for protecting Company assets through analysis of information obtained, regular meetings and information sharing with responsible BU personnel. Establishes and maintains appropriate claims/risk management process in coordination with the BUs. * Directs investigative activities for all property, casualty, workers' compensation and general liability claims, maintains claims/case files, processes all expense payments, working with BUs to manage claims process efficiently. * Responds to all claims in coordination with BUs and resolves by settling and processing or denying and preparing for litigation. * In coordination with the Law Department and BU attorneys, hires and supervises outside counsel, negotiates fee arrangement, assists in preparation for trial and participates in settlement negotiations. Reviews and processes legal fees for payment in coordination with Law Department and BU attorneys. * In coordination with Law Department and Finance Department, establishes reserves as appropriate. * Establishes and maintains a procedure for issuing and receiving certificates of insurance and maintains files for same. * Analyzes current insurance program. Analyzes current market for providers (including brokers), services and coverages. Analyzes trends in risks, costs and types of coverages. * Secures proper insurance for Company risks, evaluating price, breadth of coverage, self-insured retentions and terms and conditions. Assists BUs in obtaining any additional coverages requested. * Prepares and maintains an internal training manual. Conducts training. Prepares and presents an insurance and risk management overview for management and the Board at least annually. * In coordination with the Finance Department, obtains surety bonds, maintains all surety bond files and database and processes all payments. Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or a closely related field. * At least nine years of experience which demonstrates a detailed understanding of business risk and related insurances. * Master's degree in business administration preferred.
