9604 Retirement Plans Operations Coordinator Job

Location: NJ-Other   Union
Mid-Atlantic (DE, DC, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA & WV)
Salary Range: 50,000 - 50,000
Total Compensation: 60,000 - 60,000
Job Description: Since its founding in 1983, our client's bsuiness has earned a solid reputation for providing top quality, customized services to its retirement and pension plan clients. Using proven organizational and problem solving skills, the Operations Coordinator will manage the workflow of a 10-person staff at this dynamic, fast-paced, and expanding plan consulting and third party administration firm. As liaison between the sales organization and plan administration and actuarial functions, the coordinator is fully involved in overseeing daily operational activities. The incumbent will also identify opportunities for increased operational efficiencies, and will drive the development and implementation of those action steps needed to achieve improvement. DUTIES: 1) New Business Processing, a. Receive and assign new business to appropriate group and plan administrator, b. Identifies all renewal business received into the firm and assigns it accordingly, c. Identifies transfer business acquired through plan take-over or merger and acquisition; 2) Establish Workflow Procedures, a. Based on type of activity (new account set-up, renewal, transfer or termination), will establish specific workflow routing protocols within the office, b. Initiates routing and completed work sign-off procedures, c. Tracks work in process to ensure efficiency and timeliness within agreed standards, d. Actively participate in processing of work as needed to ensure timely completing; 3) Monitor Results & Amend Procedures, a. Monitors and reports results on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to management, b. Takes necessary action to identify procedural shortfalls, and develops corrective solutions and implements.
Education and Certifications/Licenses: Bachelor's, None, None
Mandatory Minimum Qualifications: 1) 3 – 5 years experience within a professional work environment, 2) Natural curiosity plus consistent self-motivation drive to “get the job done”, 3) Proven hands-on information technology experience, 4) A proven team player.
Preferred Qualifications: 5) Prior process management experience is a plus, 6) Prior pension / retirement plans experience a plus, 7) Good written and oral communication skills.
